AAPI Community Development & Organizing

National CAPACD is working with our member organizations to build a set of strategies, programs, and activities to take community development in low-income AAPI neighborhoods to the next level – bridging grassroots organizing and economic development, and integrating efforts at the regional level across sectors including health, youth, and culture.

Our #OurNeighborhoods Initiative is elevating and growing effective equitable development and anti-displacement strategies that are working to preserve, support and strengthen AAPI neighborhoods and small business corridors, particularly in hot markets at the crux of the current re-urbanization housing crisis.

We are supporting the development of a stronger AAPI Racial and Economic Justice network to elevate grassroots work across the country organizing low-income Asian American and Pacific Islander neighborhoods for racial and economic equity in our schools, workplaces, and local, state and federal policies and civic institutions.
