About Membership

National CAPACD has three classifications of members:

1. Statutory Member: A private, nonprofit, charitable, tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is to serve and benefit the Asian and Pacific Islander American community through community development activities may apply to become a Statutory Member. A Statutory Member is a Community Development Corporation working in, providing services to, or otherwise associated with an Asian Pacific Islander community. Statutory Members shall have full voting rights on all matters that come before the Statutory membership, and the Statutory membership shall elect the Board of Directors. The duly authorized representative of the Statutory Member may vote by proxy executed in writing and submitted by mail or facsimile.
2. Associate Member: An Associate Member is any private, public or other nonprofit organization other than a Community Development Corporation. An Associate Member shall enjoy all of the rights and privileges of a Statutory Member except the right to vote on matters before National CAPACD.
3. Individual Member: An Individual Member is an individual interested in supporting National CAPACD. An Individual Member shall enjoy all of the rights and benefits of a Statutory Member except the right to vote on matters before National CAPACD.

National CAPACD member benefits include:

• Opportunities to receive technical assistance, scholarships for trainings, and other resources
• Access to the Asian Pacific American Community Development Data Center
• Fellowships and internships
• Free copies of National CAPACD's reports and publications
• Policy advocacy on issues affecting AAPIs in your community
