Asian American & Pacific Islander Community Leaders Speak Out Against Federal Budget Cuts

On March 17th, organizations representing and serving Asian American and Pacific Islander communities across the country joined together to express their alarm in response to proposed cuts to federal support for essential services for seniors, children, and the poor. This week Congressional leaders agreed to extend funding for federal programs but only until April 8. Community leaders gathered at press conferences in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle, to express their concerns.
